How to create shareable download links for packages in your MASV Transfer History

Send packages from your Transfer History

You can create shareable download links in the MASV Web App for packages that you have sent or received. This is particularly helpful when:

  • You need to forward a package to someone.
  • You need to deliver a package by a means other than email (messaging, chat, text...).
  • A MASV download email was undeliverable or bounced.

From the Transfer History, you can create shareable download links for any unexpired package.

Considerations

Shareable links are convenient, but be aware of the following:

  • When you send a shareable link with multiple people, you can't track who has downloaded the package (the link is associated with your email account only). If you need to track who has downloaded a package, we recommend that you open the Package Details page (available from Transfer History > Actions menu > Package Details) and select the Add Recipients button.

  • Download limits apply per link, so if you're sharing a download link with more than one person, ensure that you set the Max Downloads per Link setting high enough.

To generate a shareable Download Link from the Transfer History

  1. In the MASV Web App, select Transfer History from the sidebar on the left.
  2. On the Transfer History page, select the Sent or Received tab.
  3. Select the package for which you want a link.
  4. In the Actions column, select the vertical dots button, and select Get Download Link from the drop-down menu.masv-transfer-history-get-download-link
  5. In the Create Link window, adjust any settings you want (optional), and select Next.masv-create-link-settings
  6. Copy the link and share it by email or by using your messaging service of choice.masv-create-link-copy-link

Note: Your email is listed in the Recipients column in the Transfer History for all the shareable links you create. This makes it easy to distinguish them from links with designated email recipients.  To view all the links associated with a package, from the Actions column drop-down menu, select Package Details, and review the Delivery Log.
