How to control who can upload to a MASV Portal

Enable a user authentication requirement to control upload access to Portals

You can control who can access a MASV Portal by enabling the “Require user authentication” setting. When enabled, users must sign in to their MASV account and meet the authentication requirements before they can upload files to the Portal. For example, the user must…

  • Belong to the Team.
  • Have permission according to their role (Owner, Admin, Member, Guest).
  • Be a member of the corresponding Teamspace (if applicable).

Whichever authentication method is used for the Team, will be enforced for the Portal (email and password, Google, SSO (single sign-on), API key in the case of an integration, and any MFA requirements).

User authentication is an alternative to setting an upload password for a Portal. For more information about Upload Passwords, see How to create, edit, or delete a Portal.

Note: User authentication for uploads to MASV Portals is available to customers who are using SSO or other Team authentication methods with MASV. For information about enabling this feature, please contact support@masv.io. The Security tab does not display Require user authentication for uploads if the feature in not enabled.

To require user authentication for Portal upload access
