MASV uses checksum verification to ensure integrity of transfers
Checksum is a form of data integrity verification. MASV Agent and MASV Desktop App run in-flight MD5 Checksum verifications on uploads and downloads to ensure the integrity of transfers. How? MD5 hashes are matched across each chunk (rather than file) to ensure what you send is what is delivered. If the verification fails on delivery, and retries also fail, the transfer ends for that file and any unsent files in the package. Users receive error notifications that they can use to troubleshoot if the issue is related to the destination (usually the case). If no error is detected on the receiving end, please contact support@masv.io for help.
Does MASV provide file checksums that I can refer to later?
File checksums are not available as a standard feature in MASV. If you require file checksums that you can refer to at any time after files are transferred, we recommend using one of the many third-party tools designed for this purpose or contact Sales@masv.io for enterprise options.
