Why can't I sign up for a MASV account?

There are several factors that can block someone from creating an account

If you are unable to sign up for a MASV account from the MASV sign up page, review the list below to troubleshoot the issue:

  • Single Sign-On (SSO):  If your organization uses SSO with MASV, you will not be able to create a MASV account unless you have permission from the system administrator who controls the domain associated with your email. You will see the following error message when you try to sign up: "User creation is restricted on your domain."  Please contact the system administrator for your organization.
  • VPN: If you're running a Public Virtual Private Network (VPN), you cannot sign up for a MASV account. Consider turning off your Public VPN until the account creation process is complete if you experience an error message when trying to sign up. For more information, see How do VPNs affect MASV?
  • Firewall: Sometimes firewalls can affect sign up and MASV access in general. For information about configuration options for firewalls, see How to ensure your firewall works with MASV.
