Portal security

MASV offers a variety of ways to secure portals

When you create or edit portals in MASV, there are a number of ways that you can secure them and control who can access the portals. The Security tab for portals includes the following options:

  • Assign Teamspace: Ensures only users included in the named teamspaces can access the portal or view portal packages.
  • [Legacy only, hidden by default] Set as Private Portal: Teamspaces has replaced this legacy option that limited portal access to Owners, Admins, and listed users only. Permissions for private portals appear on the Roles & Permissions page (in Portals category) if you have a legacy account with this feature enabled.
  • Upload Security: You can enable Password protection and set a password to prevent users from uploading to your portal without a password. For Enterprise accounts, you can also enable Require user authentication, so users must sign in and authenticate before they can upload to the portal.
  • Download Security: You can enable Password protection and set a password to prevent users from downloading from your portal without a password. For Enterprise accounts, you can also enable Require user authentication, so users must sign in and authenticate before they can download from the portal.

For information about enabling the Require user authentication options, including single sign-on (SSO) information, please contact support@masv.io.
