# Can I send folders (including subfolders) with MASV?

## MASV transfers are recursive and preserve the folder structure

When you select the **Add Folders** button, all subfolders, folder hierarchy, and naming conventions are kept intact. The only exception is that empty folders with no files in them are not sent.

Your recipient can download the entire package as a zip, or if applicable, perform a [zipless download](https://help.massive.io/en/download-masv-packages-in-a-browser-zip-vs-zipless?hsLang=en). Users can also choose to download with [MASV Studio](https://masv.io/feature/desktop-app) (the desktop version of MASV). 

The functionality is limited by some browsers. We recommend using the latest version of Chrome or Firefox for the best experience.
